Unlike your average hotel casino, the casino resorts of Las Vegas are enormous entertainment complexes that feature much more than merely hotel rooms and casinos. The overall goal of the casino resorts is to provide every conceivable luxury to their guests in order to encourage them to spend all of their time, and all of their money, on the premises. To accomplish this, the casino resorts have developed into largely self-contained communities that a well heeled guest can easily stay satisfied with throughout their stay. To make the casino resorts more attractive, you can often find high quality luxury rooms at extremely reasonable prices and this is possible because they expect you to spend a lot more money within the resort.
In general, the hotels part of the casino resorts are designed as luxury rooms, affording guest the feel of being a wealthy high-roller, but at the expense of an average mid-range hotel room. You can expect a luxurious décor and many amenities that you would never receive in a comparably priced hotel room elsewhere. The idea is to give the guests a taste of the good life, the life of the rich and famous, at a price the average person can afford. Further, the hotels also feature many additional features like pools, spas, gyms, salons, and other services dedicated to pampering their guests.
Unlike Atlantic City, that has eleven casinos total, Las Vegas has literally hundreds of casinos though most are small and largely unknown. However, there are about twenty or so that are world famous, that host international gaming events and tournaments, and serve as home to many of the world’s top players. All of the casinos linked to the major casino resorts fall in this category. Here you can expect world class gambling easily on par with Monte Carlo or Macau with a wide range of games available and much higher limits than found in many American casinos. The casinos also present the opportunity to rub shoulders with many of the world’s truly rich and famous.
Other Entertainments
All of the casino resorts have their own regular running Las Vegas shows (sometimes more than one) and also bring in international level entertainers for special events. Ranging from world famous musical acts to stage shows and from major comedy acts to national sporting events, all of the casino resorts are positioned to sponsor top level entertainment which is often discounted for resort guests. Further, the casino resorts also tend to have their own lists of bars, lounges, and night clubs all within their complexes so that the guest can find whatever they want to do without stepping a foot out of the door.
On top of the above, the casino resorts also host multiple restaurants, usually about ten to twenty per complex. These range from five star fine dining establishments with world famous chefs all the way down to quick and relatively inexpensive fast food outlets. The casino resorts also include a number of retail shops and stores. Most of these sell high-end merchandise and are pricey, but at the same time they are incredibly convenient for guests staying at the resort. If all else fails and you cannot find what you are looking for, most of the casino resorts also include delivery services, that will go and find what you need and bring it back to you at the resort.
